Corporate travel as a solo woman — does your company's travel policy actually protect you or just protect the company? A 2025 GBTA survey found that 74% of corporate travel buyers are women, but only 27% of corporate travel policies specifically address female traveller safety. 62% of travel managers believe female employees face greater risk than men. I travel for work 6-8 times a year and my company's policy says nothing about which neighbourhoods to avoid, how to handle hotel room security, or what to do if something happens. Has anyone pushed for a better corporate travel safety policy?
